There are 2 options for how this can happen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Remove the user<\/li><li>Request that the user be deleted<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Removing a user is the most common way of maintaining your user list \u2014 the need to fully delete a user is very rare (e.g. if the user has requested a deletion of their personal data under GDPR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Remove a user<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-ht-blocks-messages wp-block-hb-message wp-block-hb-message--withicon is-style-info\"><em>Users with certain roles may have the ability to remove other users from a site. To find out which specific users have this capability on your site, please check the relevant documentation if your site has it. Depending on how your site is configured, a user&#8217;s access permissions may have already been revoked via another system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If the user has created any content on your site (such as pages or posts), they will remain as the author of that content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s possible to assign a new author to the content created by the user you&#8217;re removing.
